The Assistant to the Chair program has nurtured generations of executive leaders at Raymond James and across the industry.

About the program

When established in 1991, Assistant to the Chair worked exclusively under the guidance of Tom James, then-chair and CEO, leading special projects that shaped the firm’s long-term business strategy. Today, Assistant to the Chair continues to lead important strategic initiatives, doing so with the guidance and support of other members of the executive leadership team in addition to CEO Paul Shoukry and Executive Chair Paul Reilly.

As an Assistant to the Chair, you will:

  • Develop long-term strategic plans in partnership with senior leaders.
  • Drive large-scale initiatives from origination through execution.
  • Monitor competitors’ movements and evaluate strategic implications.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with various functional areas across the organization.

We offer both internship and full-time opportunities through the A2C program, providing a pathway for emerging leaders to make a lasting impact at Raymond James.
