Our Hiring Process
While there may be some variations depending on the area of the firm you’re considering, the basic elements of our hiring process remain the same. Here’s what you can expect as you pursue a future with Raymond James.
Step 2: Recruiter review
A recruiting professional will review your application to assess how well your skills and experience align with the role’s requirements and responsibilities.
Step 3: Recruiter screening
If your application is selected, a recruiter will contact you to schedule an initial phone or video conversation. This is an opportunity for us to get to know you beyond your resume and learn more about your interests, career goals and what you’re looking for in your next opportunity.
The recruiter will also share details about the role and team, and the firm culture at Raymond James, and answer any questions you may have. Depending on the position, this step may include brief, job‑related assessments designed to ensure a fair and consistent hiring experience.
Step 4: Interview
If selected to advance to the next step of the process, the recruiting coordinator will schedule an interview with you and the hiring manager by phone or video, and in some cases, facilitate other team members’ participation in the process.
This phase of the process will explore your experience, strengths and working style more deeply while giving you the chance to meet potential teammates and learn more about how the team collaborates day to day. This is a two‑way conversation, providing an opportunity for you to determine whether the role, team and culture feel like the right fit.
Step 5: Onboarding
If you’ve been selected, we will send you an offer letter describing compensation, benefits and other employment-related matters. Once we receive your signed letter, we’ll start the onboarding process. First, you will be asked to complete a series of tasks in our Workday human resources system. Once completed, an onboarding coordinator will reach out to conduct a welcome call detailing the steps of the onboarding process.
Onboarding typically takes a minimum of three weeks to complete.
After the welcome call, you will receive instructions to complete a background check, fingerprinting and I-9 appointment, and you may need to complete additional tasks in Workday. Once we do not foresee any issues that could affect your start date, your onboarding coordinator will send an “On Track” email outlining next steps and providing access to our new hire experience website.
Shortly after receiving this email, your manager will contact you to review the details and help you prepare for your first day at Raymond James.

Visit the job search page and look for the "Sign in" link at the top right corner of the page. Select "Forgot your password?" and follow the prompts.
If you are a student or early career applicant, select "Forgot your username?" or "Forgot your password?" on the sign-in page.
The browser doesn’t seem to be working correctly. What can I do?
If your browser isn’t reading our careers section properly, you may need to empty your temporary internet files (cache). Can I upload multiple resumes?
Yes. Upload a maximum of 10 documents to the system. We suggest that you label your resume with the specific job number to which it applies. For example, “smith0800295.docx.” This will help you keep track of the resumes you have submitted and for which position.

In order to change your email address, you must access your personal information in a Candidate Profile or a Job Specific Application. Go to the Sign-in page and enter as a returning user using your old email address. On the Personal Information page, enter your new email address in the email address field, and then click the “continue” button at the bottom of the page. The new email address is your new username.

What is the application process?
You’ll see our hiring process described at the top of this page.
I’m having issues adding my educational credentials to the application. How do I fix this?
If you're having trouble locating your school, please try entering the full name or at least four characters of the name. For example, you can type "University of Florida," "Florida" or "University of" and then press Enter without clicking away from the field. This should generate a list of matching schools.
If your school does not appear in the list, please select "Other" and press Enter. In the degree field, select either "High School (HS)", "Other", or the degree, training or certificate you completed.
How long does the hiring process take?
The process varies, but most people have at least two rounds of on-site, face-to-face interviews. While most posted positions are available immediately, the hiring process can vary greatly in length and depends on several factors, including the skills needed and the number of qualified candidates.
